Studio – Terms & Conditions
These terms are here to keep things clear and fair for everyone. By booking a session at S80 Studios, you agree to the following:
Booking & Payment
- Bookings can be made online through our Calendly system or by contacting us directly via email.
- When you book, the first hour is paid upfront. This secures your slot.
- The remaining balance can be paid on the day (card or invoice).
- Bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Session Times & Overtime
- Your session starts and ends at the time you booked, not when you arrive or begin recording.
- Please aim to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your session.
- If your session runs over by more than 10 minutes, this will be charged as a full additional hour.
Evening & Out-of-Hours Bookings
- Standard bookings are available between 9am and 5pm.
- If you’d like to book an evening or late-night session, please contact us directly:
- 5pm–10pm → £60/hr (single cam) or £85/hr (multi cam)
- 10pm–8am → £100/hr (single cam) or £150/hr (multi cam)
- These must be arranged in advance and are subject to availability.
Studio Use
- We’ll set up the studio for you and reset it afterwards – no need to move anything around yourself.
- No smoking, vaping, or alcohol in the studio.
- Please treat the space with respect while you’re here.
Equipment
- We’ll fully set up the gear for you and run a quick test before your session starts.
- We’ll also press record for you – so you don’t need to worry about the technical side.
- If you move microphones or equipment during your session (e.g. pushing a mic too far away), the audio quality may be affected.
- You’re welcome to bring your own equipment if you’d like – but we can’t guarantee the same results outside our setup.
Damage & Responsibility
- We understand accidents happen. If any equipment or furniture is damaged during your session, we’ll discuss it fairly with you.
- In cases of misuse or negligence, the client may be charged the replacement cost.
- Please let us know straight away if something isn’t working as expected.
Liability & Insurance
- Use of the studio and equipment is at your own risk.
- We recommend clients arrange their own insurance for any personal equipment or files brought to the studio.
- We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property while on the premises.
- You own the content you record at our Studio. Please make sure you have backups after your session – we can’t be responsible for lost files once you leave.
Health & Safety
- The building is fitted with fire exits and extinguishers – please familiarise yourself with them on arrival.
- Cooking is not permitted in the studio.
- Please be respectful of others working in the building.
Final Bits
- By booking, you agree to these terms.
- These terms are governed by English law.
