Hastings Musical Festival approached us with an outdated website that was not only visually dated but also challenging for the team to update. Their goal was to refresh their site to better reflect the festival's vibrant culture while making it simpler to manage. Additionally, they were eager to transition the site to a WordPress CMS, allowing for smoother annual updates and management.
Our Solution
Design & Navigation Overhaul
To elevate the user experience (UX), we restructured the website's navigation, making it more intuitive for both attendees and organizers to access key sections, such as event details, schedules, and ticketing information. We chose bold colors inspired by the festival’s logo, creating a lively yet professional look. After developing mockups that highlighted these new design elements, we built out the full suite around this concept, ensuring a cohesive and engaging aesthetic.

Given the festival’s need for frequent content updates, especially for event timetables, we leveraged the Advanced Custom Fields Pro (ACF) plugin within WordPress. This setup allows the festival team to effortlessly update essential content each year, from schedules to performer lists, ensuring the website remains current with minimal technical input.
