Are you an experienced digital marketer seeking a full time position in a great business?

We are looking to hire a highly skilled and confident marketer to help in the planning and delivery of client marketing activities.
This role will be varied and exciting as it will involve working directly with a range of business clients. This role is important, and the successful candidate will be involved in accelerating the growth rate of already successful and expanding businesses.

MJS Media is a dynamic agency based in Hastings, East Sussex.
The company acts as an outsourced marketing department to a wide range of local businesses, as well as undertaking ad hoc and project work.

About your role:

Your role will primarily be to work with MJS Media’s business clients. Your time will be focused upon enhancing their brand, as well as undertaking content creation, and promotional marketing to generate new and ongoing business opportunities through both prospects and existing clients.
You will work closely with the other members of the marketing, web and graphic design teams and will have real influence and input over the mix of activities and the content presented for clients to the outside world. Therefore, it is important that you are an experienced and confident marketer with a good level of strategic understanding.
Your regular duties will include a mix of email marketing, social media content, blogging, adapting website content and targeting SEO improvements, as well as the management of some paid advertising campaigns on Google and Facebook.
From time to time, you may also be required to support on in house projects and other team members to provide holiday cover for their client work.

Required Qualifications / Capabilities

Recent and substantial experience of providing both digital and traditional marketing services (much more than degree placements, internships, or training projects)
A formal marketing qualification such as CIM / DMI diploma or equivalent.
Experience and confident use of Apple macOS software relevant to a digital marketing role
Copywriting / strong command of the English language (GCSE grade C or equivalent or above)
Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office software e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Required Marketing Skills and Related Duties
Ability to efficiently and accurately create and schedule relevant online content including social posts and blogs.
Confident management of client social profiles and increase relevant page follow-ship and engagement
Capability to plan and deliver regular email marketing to prospects and customers (using MailChimp / CRM system etc)
A good level of graphic design skills (basic to intermediate) using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or similar to be confident in producing flyers or other relevant print and digital marketing assets.
Ability to easily update / adapt standard website content within a WordPress environment.

Desirable Marketing Skills / Other Capabilities

Ability to plan, create and manage Google Ads / Facebook Ads etc
More advanced website design / development skills
Have a capability in using and understanding analytics (e.g. Google Analytics / SEMrush)
Further SEO skills
Ability to produce short videos (vlogs, promo, explainer videos) using DSLR video equipment and Final Cut Pro X / other editing software.
Your Key Responsibilities
Develop suitable marketing strategies and deliver on related activities for clients.
Complete agreed marketing actions to standard and timeframe.
Report relevant success metrics each month.
Make informed recommendations to enhance results ongoing.


Job Location:
This role may be worked remotely for some of the time (by agreement with the directors / team manager), but you DO need to be able to travel to our offices near Hastings when required.
Currently, all of our team are working from home due to the Covid restrictions.
When these are lifted, it is expected that there will be a mix of at office work, and remote working for the full time team members.

Job Parameters

35 hours per week.
Monday to Friday
Standard working hours are expected to be between 09:00 and 17:00 with some flexibility on start / finish time possible by advance agreement by both parties.
The salary for this role will be between £25,001 and £28,000 per year (pro-rata) dependent upon experience and capability.

The company also operates a commission structure for sales or business introductions made by employed staff.

Currently, all of our team are working from home.
When restrictions are fully lifted, it is expected that there will be a mix of at office work, and remote working for the full time team members.
